Consecutive interpreting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The interpreter starts interpreting only when the speaker has finished speaking. The interpreter usually uses their notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consecutive interpreting works well, among others, during small meetings, negotiations, presentations, short speeches, diplomatic visits, trainings or workshops. That is, wherever personal contact between the interlocutors or the speaker and the audience is important. This format of interpretation allows for interaction \u2013 such as questions from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also offer certified consecutive interpretation<\/strong> by sworn interpreters. This type of translation is required when it is necessary to officially certify the content of an interpretation. It is mainly used when making statements in state institutions or before authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneous interpreting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is a live interpretation, parallel to the speaker\u2019s speech, with the help of a simultaneous interpretation system. The interpreter works in the so-called booth, wearing headphones, and speaks into a microphone built into the interpreter\u2019s desk located in the booth. Participants use receivers that enable the selection of the language. Headphones are connected to the receiver to receive interpretation in the selected language (there are events interpreted simultaneously into several languages). This type of interpreting is usually performed by a team of two interpreters (or several pairs of interpreters in the case of simultaneous interpretation into several languages).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services of simultaneous interpreters are mainly used during international conferences \u2013 often speakers and participants speak different languages and interpretation from\/into more than one language is needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chuchotage (whispered interpreting)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Interpretation performed by an interpreter for 1 to 3 participants, for whom they interpret the speech in real time, in such a way as not to disturb other participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneous whispered interpreting is used by one or more people for whom the language of the event in which they participate is a foreign language. The role of the interpreter consists in interpreting speeches, but also reporting the course of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the comfort of the audience, whispered interpreting can be performed with the use of infoports<\/a> (portable interpreting systems).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the name suggests \u2013 this type of interpreting is provided in situations where a foreign guest visits, for example, an exhibition, a city, a given place \u2013 and they want to get to know it better. It does not require the interpreter to know industry-specific vocabulary. However, it requires specific interpersonal predispositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specialised interpreting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Performed either consecutively or simultaneously, it requires the interpreter\u2019s expertise in a given subject. In order for the effect of the work of a specialised interpreter \u2013 employed to handle a given event \u2013 to be even better, it is worth providing them with access to written materials related to the event, e.g. the content of lectures or speeches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
